How to contribute to Libre Music Production
As Libre Music Production (LMP) is a community driven project, we need contributions from people like you, the user, to make it successful. The following is a list of areas to which you can contribute.
Articles and Tutorials
A big focus of LMP is providing articles and tutorials, to help users learn how to get the most out of Libre music software. Articles and tutorials can either be in written form, or presented as a video, whichever is your preference.
If you wish to contribute an article or tutorial, you can visit the content wish list. Here you will find a list of things that we would like to see people contribute. However, if you have a specific area of interest, feel free to make your own contribution. None the less, the content wish list is a good place to start if you are interested in helping out.
Resources, Tools list, FAQ and Jargon buster entries
If you see something missing from any of the above sections, you can easily contribute an entry by contacting us. If there is something you don't understand but would like to see explained in the FAQ or Jargon buster sections, let us know and we will look into adding an entry.
Heard of something interesting that you would like to see covered on the website? Maybe you're a developer who wants to promote a software release? Contact us with links and details.
See something that is not accurate? Contact us and let us know. We want LMP to be as concise and accurate as possible.
Is something out of date? Maybe you could write an up to date guide/tutorial, or, if it's not something that needs a complete rework, you could send us relevant information that we can replace to bring existing content up to date.
If there is ever something you feel is lacking about LMP, let us know. We want your feedback. Our aim is to supply the community with the information they need. Any person can contributor to that, no matter how big or small that contribution is, so don't be afraid to join in.
Assistance with contributions
If English is not your first language but you would like to contribute, don't let this put you off. We would be delighted to hear from you and have a native English speaker on the LMP team who is available to review and proofread your text.
If you would like to find out about guidelines for submitting material, check out the Guidelines for contributors page on the website.
How to contact us
There is a contact link at the top of the page, which is always visible, wherever you are on the website. Here you can choose, from a drop down menu, which category you would like to contact us about. Please make sure to select the correct category so your email goes to the person dealing with that section of the website and we will get back to you as soon as is possible.
And finally, if you like the work we do, spread the word. Let others know about the LMP community. We need people on board to make this the best that we can.
