This month we talked to Markus Schmidt. Markus has been a member of the Calf team since 2009. As well as being the brains behind many of the Calf plugins, Markus is also responsible for the design of every visual aspect of Calf.

Hi Markus, thank you for taking the time to do this interview. Where do you live, and what do you do for a living?

This month we talked to Damien Zammit. As well as being the developer of zam-plugins, he has also contributed to the coreboot project, Calf studio plugins and Linux drivers for various audio interfaces. He maintains his own website over at ZamAudio.com.

In our first interview of the year, LMP talks to the brains behind the Infamous Plugins suite, Spencer Jackson.

Hi Spencer. Thanks a lot for doing this interview! Where do you live, and what do you do for a living?

I live in Logan, Utah, USA. I’m an electrical engineer in the R&D department at ICON Health and Fitness. I do a lot of embedded development and focus on maintaining product quality in our Freemotion brand.

In this interview we talk to Aurélien Leblond of one man band, A Violent Whisper. Aurélien has ported Alsa Modular Synth modules over to the LV2 plugin format. He has also been hacking away on adding new features to Hydrogen. 

In this interview we talk to Hermann Meyer, founder and lead developer of Guitarix, a modular, virtual amplifier for Linux. 

In an old farm near Milan, Italy, live and work the people at Red Plastic Label, a web-based label that produces and promotes her artists using open source software and creative commons licenses. LMP had the opportunity to ask them what they do, how they do it and why.
