Frescobaldi is a text editor designed to facilitate the creation of LilyPond music scores. Some of its features are:
- Syntax highlighting
- Automatic completion
- Interactive score viewer
- MIDI player
- MIDI capturing to enter music
- A Score Wizard to help you create new scores
It is named after Girolamo Frescobaldi (1583-1643), an Italian composer of keyboard music in the late Renaissance and early Baroque period.
