Denemo

Denemo is a music notation program that lets you rapidly enter notation which it typesets using the LilyPond music engraver. Music can be typed in at the PC-Keyboard, or played in via MIDI controller, or input acoustically into a microphone.

Denemo offers unique ways of entering music for transcribing scores or audio in a musical manner. It also allows you to put links in your score to the score you transcribed from, to synchronize your score to the audio file you are using as source and much more.

The name Denemo is thought to be a corruption of the French word dénouement.
