Drumgizmo v0.9.8 has just been released. Beside the usual minor bug fixes, there has also been a lot of work done on the command line version of Drumgizmo.
Glen MacArthur, the maintainer of AV Linux, has done some more work and improvements on his existing drumkit libraries and added a completely new one called 'The Red Zeppelin'.
He has also set up a webpage with details and images of the sampled drumkits. Here you will find links to SFZ and SF2 sample libraries. Hydrogen kits are due to be uploaded soon.

What is Drumgizmo?
Drumgizmo is a drum sampler plugin available in the LV2 plugin format. It is also available as a standalone version. There are already drum samplers available for Linux, so what's so different about Drumgizmo?
The Drumgizmo team have just announced the release of version 0.9.7 of Drumgizmo. The most notable change in this release is the implementation of realtime resampling. This means that Drumgizmo will match, in realtime, whatever samplerate you are working with, so you are no longer restricted to 44.1kHz!
LinuxSampler is a professional grade software audio sampler that aims to deliver performance and features at par with hardware sampler devices. LinuxSampler itself does not have a graphical user interface, however, there are frontends that exist for it, eg. Qsampler.
Drumgizmo is an LV2 sample based drum plugin that mimics the set up of a real acoustic drumkit. It uses an open drumkit file format, so you can create your own drumkits for Drumgizmo. There is even an editor called DGedit that comes with Drumgizmo to help you make this task as easy as possible. There are also currently 5 drumkits available from Drumgizmo's website.
