It was recently brought to our attention that Ardroid, a remote control app for Ardour, no longer appears to be available at Google's play store. All is not lost however. If you haven't heard of F-Droid, maybe it's now time to check it out. F-Droid is an alternative software repository for your Android device that contains FLOSS software.

OpenAV have just released a statement announcing the end of the OpenAV Release System.

The idea of this system was that source code for OpenAV projects would be released 12 months after their announcement with donations bringing forward release dates 1 month at a time.

Things have been moving along for the Guitarix project lately. First of all, they have redesigned their website and forum. Also, their website now has a new domain at guitarix.org, while the source code is still hosted at sourceforge.

Andrés Pérez López is planning a workshop in Barcelona promoting free and open source software for making music. It will also feature some material published here on Libre Music Production. Glen MacArthur has just posted some interesting and exciting news about the future of AV Linux. The biggest news is that work has begun on a new development base providing both 64bit and 32bit architectures which will be based on a rolling Debian Testing distribution base.
